Where? Down in my heart!
I've got the Peace that passes understanding down in my heart. Where? Down in my heart!
There are few things that make me happier that the loud (slightly hysterical) laugh of children at play. There is nothing else in the world going on except that moment. Whatever the game, activity, or topic of discussion, kids have it right. Focus on the now and enjoy every second of it.
Being able to revel in the joy that we have as Christians is not something that comes easy to many of us. We get caught up in the trials and tribulations of every day life. Work, groceries, laundry, getting the kids to school and sports practice, and all the other day to day things get in the way. We need to focus in on some special time each day where we can just breathe and concentrate on the blessings.
Slowing down a bit, even on the most hectic of days, to focus and pray can help us to find that childlike joy even in the middle of stress. James 1:2-3 states, "2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."
Know that the Lord doesn't promise easy, He promises salvation. Take your time this week and find your JOY!
In Him,
